Caterham's Shop Smart initiative, providing rewards for local shoppers took a step forwards with over 30 shops and businesses in the Town joining the scheme. Details are now being finalised of all these shops and offers, together with a local shopping map and other material which will be published before the end of June.
A web site is near completion with this information too, including the shops, offers and their locations around the town. The scheme covers both Caterham Valley and Caterham on the Hill, with 18 outlets in the Valley and 12 on the Hill currently.
Offers proposed range from straight forward discounts of up to 20%, to free items, promotions and special terms.
Membership for Shoppers
Residents will be able to apply for a free membership card; the "Caterham Smart Card" either via the web site, or by completing an application form in leaflets to be distributed by end of June, or in shops displaying a Shop Smart "Apply Here" poster.
A competition will be launched at the same time, with entry forms at participating outlets. By visiting all locations and completing the form, entries will go into a prize draw for a drive around Caterham in a Caterham RS500 as featured in Top Gear's show! £100 in lieu of the test drive for the winner, or to the second out of the hat.
